Country Super-Group With Johnny Cash And Willie Nelson
Johnny Cash and Willie Nelson brought down the house at Nassau Coliseum while performing “Ghost Riders (In the Sky).”
Both Nelson and Cash were born in the 1930s, and both broke into the music industry in the 1950s with songs like “Hey Porter” and “No Place For Me. They were both also involved in forming the subgenre of country music known as outlaw country, which brought about a country super-group called The Highwaymen consisting of four members: Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jenning and Kris Kristoffersen.
